As one of the many innovative solution providers at the event, Compass Plus took the opportunity to showcase their EMV-enabled instant card issuance solution at their booth, to great success. The solution, built on their new open development banking platform, TranzAxis, was recently launched in the United States at FinovateFall 2012.

The move towards the EMV standard in the US was one of the most popular topics at the event, with much discussion on the opportunities that can exist as magstripe plastic is replaced with the advanced capabilities of chip cards.

“In the areas of technology, the topic of EMV seems to be gaining momentum as banks recognize that 'like it or not, it is coming' - and with the challenge of EMV, NFC, Mobile, etc. banks need to build their deployment strategy taking into account the risks and requirements of regulatory compliance.
